FOR THE EYES

EYES

Eye lets us see the world. Without seeing the world we can't do anything. So we must be really careful about the health of our eyes.

EYE SWIRL

Sitting in the semi-lotus posture, take three deep breaths keeping your eyes closed. Then open your eyes widely. Open it as wide as possible. Then close it suddenly. Open and close the eyes then, at a faster pace for 10 seconds. Stop it and open then eyes widely. Look at a distant object and then look up in the middle. Move the eyeball in a circular motion clockwise. Repeat it anticlockwise. Do this three times. Close your eyes. Give relaxation to the eyes by slowly massaging with your palms made hot by rubbing it together. Relax

FOCUS IN; FOCUS OUT

After this, sitting in the same position, stretch your arms with a closed fist but pointing finger pointing up. Bring it to the centre of the body in line with your nose and keeping it as away from the body as possible. Concentrate on the tip of the pointing fingernail end. Stare at it for five seconds and slowly bring the nail to the nose without the tip of the nail going out of focus. Slowly bring it to a position beyond which you cant focus. Now the finger is as close to the nose as possible but it's clearly focussed. If you bring the nail end any close it will be out of focus. So keep it in the same position. Repeat this three times. Now place your nail tip at the top of the head as away as possible and at a position, you can clearly focus. Bring it towards your nose slowly but without losing focus. Bring it as near as possible but up to a position where it won't go out of focus.  Repeat the same three times. Relax and repeat this exercise three time each by placing the fingertip at the right-hand side of the body, the bottom side of the body and at the left-hand side of the body with your left hand. This is extra powerful yoga; it can keep your eye-sight intact forever.  It improves concentration and improves eyesight.

EYE CLOSURE

After relaxing your eyes and body, close your eyes normally. Keep it closed for a few seconds and then close as tight as possible. Release and relax. Repeat this three times and relax well.

BLINKING

Blink the eyes continuously and stop it to relax well. Repeat this three times.

NOSE FOCUS IN; GREEN LEAF FOCUS OUT

Sit in the semi-lotus position. Close your eyes and think of your nose. Take three deep breaths. Open your eyes and bring its focus onto the tip of the nose. Keep it there for a few seconds and utter a small prayer which you hold sacred. Then slowly take your eye to a green leaf in the same line away from your room through the window or door in front of you. Utter the same prayer again. Repeat this three times and relax.
