MOUTH & FACIAL MUSCLE RELAXATION


Regaining the lost muscular tone is very important. Stressed up facial muscles may give a lot of problems. It increases the mental load, diminishes the processing power of your brain. The speed and accuracy of your decision-making ability will be slackened, overall performance will be hampered. So this exercise helps you a great lot to prepare you for an active day. Do it every day, preferably before you begin your day.

JAW SWIRL




Close your eyes, mouth and mind. Open your mind and think about your face and mouth. The teeth, tongue, epiglottis, throat, saliva food and life. After that concentrate on your lower jaw. Take three deep breaths (belly breathing). Open your mouth blow air out and draw it in in a slow pace. Rotate your lower mandible in a circular motion towards the right three times. Then do it three times to the left too. Relax and take deep breaths. Try to keep all the facial muscles involved in it and do the swirling motion again.

SHAVAASANA



If you have some more time do Shavasana by lying on a mat stretched on the ground. Lay on your back look straight up. Withdraw your mind from all its engagements, try to keep it without any engagements. All thought stopped. You will watch the coming of new thoughts now; each time it appears, take yourself away from the thoughts. You'll find, enjoy total relaxation thus. Take deep breaths without any force.
